Cindy Knull bio picture
  • Greetings!

When I was six years old, my mother gave me a diary.  I remember very distinctly that it was red with a little brass lock.  This began my journey into recording the details of my everyday life.  Writing has always been a love of mine and a necessary part of my self expression.  While in school working towards my English degree,  I had the opportunity to visit the John Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.  To my great pleasure, the feature exhibits consisted of many great Masters of Photography. One of whom was the great Andre Kertesz.  I immediately fell in love with his ability to form the perfect snapshot and felt something inside myself completely identify.  It was upon reading a quote by Mr. Kertesz that I went home and promptly changed my major to Photography.  The words were simply, "I write with light."

I'm a street shooter at heart, who people hire when they want honest and intelligent images documenting personal events. I dabble in portraiture. I run half marathons. And write, a lot.

I'm currently working on several personal projects. One of which is my first novel.

Mary Mary How Does Your Garden Grow…

Like gangbusters!!

Unfortunately I have searched and searched my computer and my backup hard drive for the before pictures where Paisley was helping me plant my little garden and to no avail, I cannot find them.

We planted in Mid-May…and now look…Spaghetti Squash, Yellow Crookneck Squash, Black Zuchini, Tomatillo Tomatoes, Yellow Bell Pepper, Red Bell Pepper, Jalapeno’s and Cucumbers.

The dimensions of my garden are 8 x 8.  You can see here that the spaghetti squash are far reaching outside of the rabbit fence.

I’ve already plucked several zuchini from my garden and look you can see my yellow squash coming along nicely!

My bell peppers are coming along yet they have not turned their color yet. Tomatillo’s have their nice paper shell formed yet the tomato inside is still growing.  And I have little gherkins for cucumbers…grow grow grow.

Last year I planted a Black Raspberry bush and this summer it has been producing like crazy.  This morning I picked a whole bowl full for breakfast.  To say that my children inhaled them is an understatement.  They were so good.

I’ve also planted Cilantro, Sweet Basil, Rosemary, Thyme and Celebrity Tomatoes.  I will take pictures and post them soon.  Last year I also planted some grape vines, a Concord and another one that now I can’t remember, it too has grown like crazy!  I’m even getting little grapes…pictures soon!

Isn’t summer the BEST!?
