My Rock Star Babysitter

This is my super awesome, incredible, fantastic, sweethearted, smart, blessing of a babysitter. I am going to miss her as she will be graduating in a week or so from high school. We’ve had Kelsey for at least four years now and I truly will be at a loss because she has been the best babysitter. Always consistent, always willing to help me out in a bind, and my kids love love love her. Whatever will I do?

Recently I’ve had the pleasure of meeting this young lady. She is wise beyond her years and it is easy to forget that she is still but a senior in high school graduating in a few weeks. She was recently one of the students chosen throughout the nation to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss what it is like to be an obese teenager in today’s society. Her story is heartbreaking and courageous. She has lost over 50 pounds since her appearance on the show and just yesterday we did our cardio together at the gym where we train. She is loyal. She is smart. She is helpful. She is dedicated. She is not a quitter. And she is a woman with a heart.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie with her date, Ethan, before her senior prom.

So, I’ve been asked if I do High School Seniors and I’ve wondered if I should. I’ve tried to focus mostly on children but after this most recent session, I think I will add seniors to my repertoire. Here are a few from a recent shoot.
