As I said in the post beneath this one, after running the 10k out on the trails at Prairie Oaks Metro Park Saturday, I was going to head back and shoot some more photos. What an amazing day! I can’t believe it’s November with temperatures in the upper 60′s! This time I took my family with me and our new dog, Fletcher. Fletcher, according to the shelter we adopted him from is a boxer/st. bernard mix. I’m not so sure about the st. bernard part, others seem to think perhaps he is mixed with beagle. It’s been a transition to go from our loving calm well behaved dog Sammy, who passed away in September at 11 years of age, to a ten month old puppy who likes to chew every thing in sight. He’s a high energy dog, so it did him some good to come with us for a couple mile walk on the trails. The trails are beautiful rolling through prairie grass, forest, and bridges that cover rivers/creeks, including bridle trails. There are also several mini lakes throughout the 1900 acres. If you live in the Columbus, OH area I highly recommend checking it out.

We have been working with our dog, using Cesar Millan’s How To Raise The Perfect Dog….here we are trying to get him to sit and stay for a portrait. I wonder what Cesar would say about this.

I don’t get in front of the camera enough (job hazard), so my husband took this one of myself and our girls.

Halloween Eve

Is there such a thing? We get Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve…why not Halloween’s Eve? I was out scouting for locations the other day and turned down a road with a sign that said, “No Outlet.” Always up for a good challenge I proceeded down the road which winded around to a virtual dead end…with a cemetery appropriately transfixed just before a cornfield. The setting sun was creating long shadows with the headstones and I thought it a perfect way to move into Halloween for the weekend. And one house I know you’d love to trick or treat….
